Recognising the signs - fact or fantasy?

Ever thought there was an easy way to tell one Astrological Sign from the other? With a little bit of practice you will soon be able to tell a person's Sun Sign from just looking at them and the clues offered in this article. Notice the head move from side to side of a Libran, the strong proud walk of a Leo and the Taurean with the gold necklace or bright scarf. Keep in mind there are many factors which must be considered in studying body language and although you’ll be accurate in some cases you may miss the point in others.

Aries: Look for the arched eyebrows. The nostrils are usually large and there are likely to be a few scars on the face. Loving a good debate these are the ones you will hear on the train having an opinion on anything and everything. Red hair is another clue to either this sign of number. Look for an abundance of hair as you very seldom see a bald or receding Aries...

Taurus: Look for their thick necks and broad shoulders, often having curly hair which just happens to fall over their forehead. Good looks are usually possessed by this sign/number (a sensuality rather than physical beauty). Look for the jewellery around their (thick) neck.

Gemini: A bright springy walk and fast movements give the game away, never at rest (fidgety) and a consummate talker, always trying to sell you something! Don't tell them a secret as they can be gossip-mongers! Look for the bad or the carefully looked after skin and notice the well manicured or neglected fingernails...

Cancer: Look for a pale complexion, a round face (even Moon-like) the vertical line between the eyes! Most have a dreamy, far-away look about them, some even look downright depressed! If you listen to their conversation you’ll soon hear about the latest person they are looking after or feeling sympathy / sorry for...

Leo: A strong walk. Head held high (even the short ones appear tall) .Leo's tend to peer down their nose at others! Look for a strong back and a good waistline, and attractive eyes (this is usually the first thing you’ll notice) it's a guarantee you are looking at a Leo and if they wear glasses they are usually expensive, or loud...

Virgo: Look for a widow's peak to the hairline. Quick in their movements, neat in their appearance, like to get things done and usually their way! Baldness in men and hair treatments in the women t an early age is common (colouring the grey). Virgo's usually spend a lot of money at the hairdressers, loving the attention and gossip shared...

Libra: As I said at the beginning look for the head moving from side to side, like a dog listening to its master! Usually very good looking (and know it). Can appear indecisive and often have that faraway look in their eye, often thinking of their latest or last romance! Born romantics and enjoy reading the latest novel on "boy meets girl meets boy."

Scorpio: Look for the deep set eyes, penetrating and with a fixed look about them. A sharp face almost hawk or eagle like! A heavy forehead, once seen is never forgotten. Never missing a word they can be very analytical and in a conversation often finish for you. The other side to Scorpio is their seductive side and you’d better be careful of this 'power'. The men and women of Scorpio usually get what they want or whoever they are after...

Sagittarius: An 'open book' sums up this type, so open and honest it hurts! Cynical, sarcastic and bitchy are negative traits! Look for the striking eyebrows and an enthusiastic expression, not good at telling lies and usually give themselves away but, if they believe their story they are quite capable of convincing you and anyone who listens! Often accused of preaching, look at the hips, either large, small or an add shape...

Capricorn: Look for lines from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth for Capricorns often smile in reverse! Often appearing sullen and depressed yet, once you get to know them they can be and usually are, a bundle of fun. Look for the long and lanky appearance - skinny? Ambitious and goal oriented you'll hear them talk about work constantly, oh! And the Yuppie look of the late 80's sums up what you should look for in appearance!

Aquarius: Once you’ve have deduced this type you’ll never forget the crazy look they project! The hair is often unruly or cut in such a way - it's scary. A born rebel and will always seem out of place no matter what the occasion. There’s usually a curvature to the spine, bad posture or stance. Never short of friends and wherever they go drama usually follows...

Pisces: Often stand with their feet crossed for no apparent reason, appearing as though they’re about to cry at any time! Look for the pale often translucent skin. If your first impression was their feet (either too big, too small or whatever) you'll have deduced correctly, often wearing expensive shoes or no shoes at all! Always talking about their latest visit to hospital, health farm, spa, etc, listen carefully - you might learn something.

Magical Bathing

And now for something completely different - Bathing Magic

In this busy, busy world of ours we often forget the luxury of a nice hot bath. When was the last time you spent at least 30 minutes in the tub? This article is all about the Magic of Bathing and to that end I will offer you recipes to create a little 'magic' in your life. What you can do is prepare in advance the recipe that takes your fancy and make yourself a few 'magic bags' and store them in an airtight container.

Alternatively you can use any old jam jar and store your magic recipes in bulk and when you come to take your bath throw in a handful of 'magic' and let it soak in the warm water. You should always consider bathing at night; maybe even using candles instead of florescent or ordinary lighting, for I know you will enjoy the experience. Listed below are a few 'magical recipes' the ingredients can be obtained almost anywhere, even in your local supermarket if you care to read what's in the packets of pot pourri!

Beauty Bath: An equal mixture of lavender, rosemary, spearmint, comfrey and thyme. Whether you make your own little 'magic bags' or store in an airtight container all it takes in either one little bag or a small handful thrown into your bath. Once in your bath, lie back and let yourself relax completely.

Aphrodisiac Bath: An equal mixture of rose petals, rosemary, thyme, myrtle and jasmine. Just before you enter your bath add about 6 drops of musk oil and either bathe before meeting that special someone or ask your lover to join you!

Vitality Bath: Whenever feeling tired, listless, or plain 'fed-up' why not try the following an equal mixture of carnation petals, lavender, rosemary and basil, plus three teaspoons of Epsom salts or bicarbonate of soda.

Healing Bath: To be used of course, in conjunction with conventional medical attention, however the healing process is 'stimulated.' An equal mixture of rosemary, lavender, rose; peppermint and cinnamon. You can also add a few drops of eucalyptus oil just before bathing.

Self-esteem Bath: Grate the peel of a fresh orange (or two). Add equal parts Lavender, gardenia petals and rose petals. Grate a ginger - root (about the size of your thumb) and then add an equal amount of Dill plus a pinch of Cardamom. When bathing, visualise yourself become stronger in mind and spirit. You should also gently massage as much of your body as you can.

Money Bath: This'll come in handy when the bills come in -an equal mixture of cloves, cinnamon and basil. Add a few drops (5) of Patchouli oil. When bathing it is a good idea to do so in subdued lighting (using candles).

Cleansing Bath: Whenever the weather is getting you down or the pressures of work are becoming too much for you; try this recipe -an equal mixture of marjoram, thyme, pine needles, rosemary and bay leaves. It would be a good idea to make a 'magic bag' out of cheesecloth letting it soak in the warm water for a few minutes before getting into the bath so that you don't prick yourself with the pine needles!

Spiritual Bath: If you are desirous of increasing your psychic potential or, just wanting to get in touch with your Inner Self this recipe is for you. An equal mixture of lemongrass, thyme, orange peel with a touch of cinnamon and a dash of cloves. Don't be surprised if, after soaking in this mixture for a few minutes you will want to jump out of the bath shouting: "Eureka" for this recipe will fill your mind with ideas.

Just relax and enjoy the thoughts flooding your mind and as soon as possible put your ideas into practise.

Friendship Bath: If lacking friendships or, if friends are 'thin on the ground' this recipe will help sort out your likes and dislikes and will bring people into your life who are on the same `wavelength' as yourself. An equal mixture of lavender rose petals, jasmine petals, and carnation petals. Add a dash of lemongrass with a pinch of salt. A drop or two of Patchouli oil and you'll soon be on your way to meeting the right people and mixing in the right company, making friendships you never thought possible.

The Magic of the Tarot

Tarot Journey – The High Priestess...

Continuing with our ‘journey’ of the Major Arcana (as a tool for personal empowerment) we encounter the High Priestess: Here I sit, between the Inner and Outer World. I am the High Priestess with vast amounts of knowledge lying behind the veil and hidden within my scroll. I sit between the pillars of light and dark, positive and negative, male and female, all of which come together at the cross on my breast. I am the reader of fortunes, the teller of tales…

The secrets of your universe will be revealed only when (if) you’re ready to receive them. I ask that you listen with your heart and not your head to the many mysteries that will be revealed if you are willing to listen to my instructions: “To understand through reason is all very well but there is no growth unless you experience life from the heart centre.”

I ask you to meditate on the NOW moment, to forget yesterday and tomorrow. I ask that you be receptive and hear what I have to say. If you can centre on the NOW moment and hear my voice, you will receive my instructions. When you do it is vital that you carry them out, no matter how trivial they appear to be. I will not address those who seek easy answers or simple solutions nor will I offer truths to those unable to understand them.

I ask you to seek within yourself the answers to your questions – for I will not answer any question if you won’t look into YOU for the reason...

Whenever and wherever you see me I bring a SCHISM into your life in order that I promote your growth. You’ll experience confusion as old orders break down, as old habits die. There will be CHAOS as you experience this fragmentation in your life. Whenever and wherever you see me, know I’m at work in your life and prepare to accept the events as and when they happen, there is no other way. Keep in mind the following truth: The conscious mind formulates the ideas that your subconscious mind accepts as suggestions and then sets about to make them real, there is no other way.

When I appear in any layout you’re being asked to remain passive and poised, awaiting my truths to surface, the future is unclear and unknowable at the moment for there are hidden energies at work that you have no control over. It’s time to consider your past, for its brought you to where you are now, good or bad you are where you are as a result of who or what you’ve been and done…

When you see ‘me’ in any layout your memories will be stirred and if you feel ‘trapped’ by these memories “get over it.” It’s time to use the stored wisdom from your ‘memories’ or, past experiences and resolve to make your life a better one from this MOMENT on. Look to where I sit on your tarot wheel for this area is where I’m at work and I will not reveal (until you are ready) what must be revealed no matter how much you pry, question or cajole…

When I talk of the Tarot Wheel I’m referring to the Astrological House System for where I sit will activate this sector of your chart. Example: If I were located in position six all of the above would refer to matters of health and well being. If I were positioned in sector 10 the above information applies to career issues! “My meaning never changes it is where I am positioned on the Tarot Wheel that give you the information you seek.”

The entire series will soon be available for purchase at an affordable cost (via PDF) stay tuned.

The Magic of the Tarot

Tarot Journey – The Magician...

Using the magic and power of the Tarot to bring your life into focus is what meditating with the cards is all about. We began our ‘journey’ with the Fool now it’s the turn of the Magician. Take a few moments looking at this card (buy yourself a deck or download them from the Internet) and the wonder of the Tarot will reveal itself.

I represent your conscious mind and by concentration (or meditation) and single-minded attention to detail to a specific idea or goal I will deliver whatever you focus upon via the subconscious mind. I can (and so can you) draw upon the forces from ‘above’ or from ‘within’ to bring into reality whatever you ask. If you’ve depended on others in the past you’ll come to realise that you can no longer do so, you’re on your own, it’s time to stand on your own two feet…

It’s time for you to take the reins and determine your future course, do you know where you want to go, what you want to do or who you want to become? Do you? Take a look at my table for upon it are all the elements (tools) you need but you can only have one for the moment, make your decision: The Wand representing FIRE will give you mental dominion over others. The Pentacle representing EARTH will give you wealth and material comfort. The Sword representing AIR will give you power over your enemies and the Cup, representing WATER will satisfy your passions. Which one do you want? Concentrate…

Wherever you see me on the tarot wheel I ask you to concentrate on this sector/chapter of your life and bring about a fresh start. Sure, you may have to stand alone, appear aloof in the eyes of others, you may have to ‘separate’ yourself from family, friends and loved ones to bring about whatever it is you desire. It’s time to set long-term goals and take the necessary steps to attain them and when you look back upon this time you’ll realise this period was the foundation of a new chapter to your life (my position on the wheel will tell you where I’m active, stirring the ‘pot’ so to speak)…

It’s time to promote your skills and talents, to believe in yourself and not take no for an answer, be decisive, act with confidence, initiate, and set the wheels in motion for whatever it is you want, just remember the word CONCENTRATE. Take another look at the actual card for the wand in the Magicians right hand points to the sky above representing drawing or attracting the ‘energy’ from the unseen forces above and allowing it to flow through him, notice his left hand pointing towards to ground below representing the manifestation of this creative energy made real. Like a lightening conductor (which earths the ‘energy’) ideas and inspirations don’t come from us but through us! Are you ready? On a mundane level the Magician represents new beginnings, decisions, independence and a fresh start. Again, let me remind you, the Magician is a channel, a conductor, and a conduit for ‘something’ about to become real…

Wherever you see me there’ll be excitement felt within every pore as you sense something being stirred within you. I look forward to bringing you the next step on your ‘journey’ by introducing the High Priestess – Stay Tuned.
